I've been thinking further about a whole 'keepsake' range and have decided I want to sell them as a complete package - the personalised magnet(s), a keepsake tin and gift wrap (box, ribbon, tag) - so people can buy it and it's all ready to give as a gift. I also want all the packaging to be recycled. I've found some recycled boxes, tags and rafia for the heart tins and had been looking for recycled tissue. I wanted shredded tissue to nestle the magnet in but couldn't find any which was recycled. Then I had a bit of a brainwave. When I make envelopes there are always small pieces left over. I keep them in case I need them for something else and it occurred to me I could use them to make my own shredded paper. After cleaning out our paper shredder I had a go and it worked perfectly. So I now have pink and blue for the 'new baby' and a whole range of possibilities for further 'keepsake' products (including comics, maps and other plain colours).
