Plans for bespoke badges continue....In the past I have offered a 'make your own' service at craft fairs where people can draw their own badge and have it made up whilst they wait. I love the idea of giving anyone the opportunity to hand decorate a blank and then have it turned into a truly personal and unique item. However, often there isn't enough room or time to do this and I've been thinking about how to offer the service through alternative means - it's also something I wanted to be able to offer online. I've come up with a 'design your own..' range where I provide packs containing badge blanks (or mirrors or bottle openers), instructions and a stamped envelope to post the finalised designs to me - which I will then make up and return to the customer. I decided it was better to have everything in one place and include all postage so there weren't additional hidden costs and no downloading or printing of digital templates. Once finalised the packs will be available on notonthehighstreet and my shop here. I'll also be doing 'party packs' for those who know one is not enough! (or who want to share with others).
I have a number of family and friends kindly making me some samples to illustrate the concept and I expect them to be online in the next couple of weeks. (They will be the first items in my blog shop....)
